Tamfana, winner of the Dam of Sun Chariot Stakes, will be sold at Arqana’s Vente d’Elevage

Tres Magnifique, the dam of recent Sun Chariot Stakes winner Tamfana, will be offered at Arqana’s Vente d’Elevage in December.

Consigned by Gestut Etzean, the mare Zoffany will go to auction during the first night of the sale, December 7th. She is the daughter of the late Soldier Hollow, which means she is carrying a full sibling for Tamfana.

Tamfana scored for the first time at Group 1 level when denying Inspiral at Newmarket earlier this month, while he was unlucky when running for fourth in the 1,000 Guineas this spring. Also third in the Prix de Diane, Tamfana won her first Group race in the Prix Miesque at Chantilly last October. She also won the Atalanta Stakes by an easy two and three-quarter lengths over subsequent stakes winner Doha, a daughter of Sea The Stars and Treve.

Another daughter of Tres Magnifique, Areion’s two-year-old The Palace Girl, finished an excellent second on debut to the exciting Giselle at the Curragh, the same afternoon as Tamfana’s success at Newmarket.

Tres Magnifique is out of the Sholokhov mare Ticana, a sister to the sire of Galopin Des Champs in Timos and a half-sister to Sea Calisi, winner of the Beverly D. Stakes. She is also linked with Group 3’s double top scorer, Tareno.

The sale runs from December 7th to 10th, while the catalog will be available on Monday.
