Teenager with G2 license caught driving in construction zone

“Not the best way to end the long weekend,” police said in an Oct. 14 post on X.

According to police, a 16-year-old man with a G2 driver’s license was caught doing stunts on Highway 174 in the east end of Ottawa. The section of highway is at reduced speed due to the works.

The young driver was doing 145 km/h at 80 km/h.

Stunt driving results in license suspension for 30 days, vehicle seizure for 14 days and a court hearing.
