Boris Johnson offered to introduce Milei to Mick Jagger, reports say

The former Conservative party leader gave Milei a copy of his newly published political memoir, posing for a photo with Johnson and his wife Carrie with their thumbs facing the camera.

The radical former TV pundit drew international attention by brandishing a chainsaw above his head at political rallies and proposing to legalize the sale of human organs.

It is not known whether Sir Mick would accept a meeting with Milei, given the Stones’ clear opposition to Donald Trump – who the former TV pundit openly supported.

According to reports, the pair did not discuss the dispute over the Falkland Islands during the meeting, which took place in the center of the Argentine national government – Caso Rosada.

Milei, who was elected in November 2023, had already promised to initiate a diplomatic process for the United Kingdom to hand over sovereignty of the islands to Argentina.

The issue resurfaced after Sir Keir Starmer announced a deal that would return the Chagos Islands to Mauritius, after having been British territory for more than 200 years.

Johnson criticized the decision, saying he is “genuinely anxious” about the prime minister handing the Falklands back to Argentina, despite Sir Keir saying he was committed to them remaining British.
