Real Housewives of New York fans baffled by Rebecca Minkoff’s ‘weird’ story about virginity, sex and drugs

Real Housewives of New York star Rebecca Minkoff has raised some eyebrows — both from her fellow Housewives and fans online — following a bizarre revelation.

Tuesday’s new episode of the Bravo reality series showed the women taking a girls’ trip to the Hamptons, and during dinner, the 42-year-old told a story about her virginity.

Minkoff revealed that she lost her virginity at age 16 to her high school boyfriend named Brad, thanks in part to a bizarre arrangement her parents made with her.

‘I lost my virginity at 16 because my parents had a great deal. They said, “If you don’t do drugs, we’ll give you birth control pills.” And I thought, sign me up,” Minkoff said, which surprised all of her fellow housewives.

They weren’t the only ones who were surprised, with several fans taking to social media to discuss this bizarre story.

Although she was surprised that many of the women found this strange, insisting that she would make the same deal with her own daughter, Minkoff added that she still has the bed frame, although she insisted, “It’s not sentimental.” It’s right there and it’s easy.

The episode featured Erin Dana Lichy introducing Minkoff, Brynn Whitfield, Jessel Taank, Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Jenna Lyons and newcomer Raquel Chevremont at her Hamptons home in Sag Harbor.

Sai and Brynn quickly argued, but just as quickly hugged, as the women exchanged gifts.

The night ended with Brynn and Ubah arguing, which lasted until the next morning, with Erin suggesting that everyone should be more direct with each other.

The argument reached a point where Erin pulled Ubah aside after fearing the argument would escalate further.
