Tell Me Lies fans were shocked after watching the “brutal plot twist” at the end of season two.

The series – which first launched on Hulu in September 2022 – follows the toxic relationship between freshman Lucy (played by Grace) and Stephen (Jackson).

Based on Lovering’s 2018 novel of the same name, the couple quickly become involved in an addictive, confusing, but loving partnership while in college that unfolds over the course of eight years.

And the second season came to an end on Wednesday – in both the 2008 and 2015 schedules.

Stephen (Jackson White) and Diana (Alicia Crowder) broke up – something she had been planning all along, but which made Stephen think it was his idea.

Later, Stephen and Lucy got back together, and Evan (Branden Cook) decided he needed to tell him that it was Lucy he slept with last year.

Evil Stephan then recorded Evan, unbeknownst to him, saying he cheated on Bree with Lucy.

Fast forward to 2015 – It’s Bree and Evan’s wedding day, and they are surrounded by loved ones.

Stephen is still up to his old Lydia tricks and tricks with Lucy, so he sends Bree the voice note he made years ago.

In the final moments of the episode, Bree is shown moments before walking down the aisle, listening to Evan’s confession, while her bridesmaid Lucy stands beside her, unconscious.

Fans couldn’t believe how the series ended and claimed they “need therapy” after watching it unfold.

Hulu released the first two episodes of Season 2 on Wednesday, September 4th.

The season two finale of Tell Me Lies will begin streaming on Hulu on October 16th.
