How to get the weapon

The Revolver is a classic starting weapon in many games, and it’s not that different in Silent Hill 2 remake.

Ultimately, James Sunderland isn’t a secret agent with a vast knowledge of weapons – he’s just “a guy” who was dropped into the hellish landscapes of the cursed city of Silent Hill.

A pistol will be more than enough for him: for now, at least, until you can get your hands on something better for the tougher dangers out there.

How to get the weapon in Silent Hill 2

The gun is located in apartment 217 on 2F of the Wood Side Apartments. You can’t just walk into the room and grab him.

If you’ve explored the apartments, you may have noticed that many of these doors are locked. Some of them can be accessed by simply obtaining the corresponding key, while others require some less traditional methods to access.

Getting the gun is an elaborate process. First, you need to find and use the Chute Courtyard Key to get to the courtyard.

Proceed until you find a key on the ground, on the other side of some bars blocking your path, and trigger the cutscene there.

After that, you will need to go back to the lobby and get to the other side of the bars (near room 107), where you will receive the 2F Hallway Key.

In Room 208, get the Golden Apple Handle for the coin puzzle you need to complete later. If you played the original game, you will have experienced some terrifying flashbacks upon reading the phrase ‘coin puzzle’.

Anyway, once you get the 2F hallway key, go to room 213 and unlock the door. Insider, you must locate a hole in the wall that you can pass through to reach Room 217. The pistol is located here, on top of a shopping cart in the living room.

Some weapon-related tips for the Silent Hill 2 remake

THE Silent Hill 2 The weapon will be one of your best friends throughout the game. It won’t work very well against Pyramid Head, but it’s a great tool for the many dummies and lying figures you’ll encounter.

Konami is also extremely generous with its ammo, as you can find plenty in the apartment complex itself and much more later. You can use the ammo liberally and expect to find more ammo scattered around the city at any time.

You can never be too sure, so if you’re fighting something weaker, you can’t go wrong with the unmissable Metal Pipe you picked up at the beginning of the game. Don’t hesitate to attack enemies you encounter, especially if you’re low on ammo.

You will also find some other weapons in the game like a shotgun and a rifle. They will pack a stronger punch than the pistol, but their ammo is very limited in availability during gameplay.
