The professional dancer, 31, faced off against stiff competition from presenter Craig Doyle, 53, and actress Rochenda Sandall, 35, to emerge victorious in the thrilling final.

Vito impressed judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace with his Italian-inspired menu, featuring his special dessert just like the one his dear mother and Nonna used to make.

Fans were thrilled with the result, as they believed the artist is good enough to become a professional chef.

Vito and his fellow finalists had a difficult but exciting final week in which they showcased their exemplary culinary skills to the judges.

Firstly, they were tasked with taking care of the lunch service on the luxury British Pullman train.

Before preparing a dish inspired by someone special in your life.

The most daunting and difficult challenge was the penultimate task – The Chef’s Table.

The trio had to up their game and produce an exquisite dish for a table of six gastronomic pioneers, including a two-Michelin-starred chef.

The final culinary task saw Vito, Craig and Rochenda asked to prepare their ultimate dinner menu, with both dishes needing to be the best food they had ever produced.

To impress, Vito chose to serve Scialatielli Allo Scoglio as his main course – an Italian seafood pasta dish filled with clams, mussels and prawns.

His dessert was called Babà Di Vito, a small cake soaked in rum and served with zabaione, marsala wine cream and cherries in syrup.

Discussing his menu, Vito shared: ‘One day my family and I went to Positano and had this Scialatielli Allo Scoglio, eating in front of the sea. It was one of the best days ever, so I want to bring that day to MasterChef.

‘The dessert is Babà, which is how my mother and Nonna used to make it for me on Sunday.’

And Vito’s heart and passion certainly paid off as he followed in the footsteps of the likes of Wynne Evans, Lisa Snowdon, Greg Rutherford and Lisa Faulkner to join the ranks of previous Celebrity MasterChef big winners.
