McLaren has announced that it will run the second edition of the bold and unique chrome livery on its MCL38 at this weekend’s United States Grand Prix.

McLaren will race in a special chrome livery at the United States Grand Prix in Austin, Texas. Developed in partnership with Google, this is the second iteration of its chrome-inspired design, following its debut at Silverstone last year.

As part of McLaren Racing’s ‘Chrome Shines Again’ campaign, the livery – which was first reinvented at the 2023 British Grand Prix – sees the return of the iconic chrome of McLaren race cars from previous seasons, with a modern twist. to represent the team. lasting legacy.

Speaking about the upcoming weekend, Norris said: “I love going to Austin. The vibe is always amazing and I really enjoy racing there, especially with the beautiful Chrome livery we have this weekend. It’s a great race to start the final stage of the season after a few weeks off. It’s also a Sprint weekend, which means there are more points on the table.

“I spent some time at MTC on the simulator preparing for the upcoming tripleheader. The next two months will be incredibly busy, but also exciting. I’m ready to get back in the car, so let’s show Texas what we can do.”

His teammate, Oscar Piastri, commented: “It’s great to be back racing after a short break. It was good to have a few weeks to recharge, but also to work with my engineers to prepare for the next races.
