Strictly Come Dancing star announces shock split from wife after nine years of marriage and two children

Strictly Come Dancing winner Ore Oduba announced he and his wife Portia ended their nine-year marriage on Thursday.

The presenter, 38, confirmed the ‘difficult’ news in a statement on Instagram, where he revealed that they had decided to separate earlier this year.

He wrote: ‘Hello everyone. Portia and I announced that we separated earlier this year. We are so grateful for all the love you have shared with us over the years.

‘And we want to thank you in advance for respecting our privacy as we navigated this difficult transition. We will not make any further comments. Be kind, always.

Ore and Portia, who have two young children, married in 2015, just five years after meeting at Loughborough University in 2010.

In 2018, Ore and Portia revealed that they welcomed their first child, son Roman, in January.

Three years later, they revealed that Portia had given birth to their daughter Genie.

Ore won Strictly glitterball in 2016 with her professional dancer partner Joanne Clifton.
