This game is literally PS1 Harry Potter and it looks amazing

A new Harry Potter-inspired game shown at Steam Next Fest should be on every fan’s wish list, and there’s a playable demo you can check out right now.

Secret Agent Wizard Boy and the International Crime Syndicate is a game that proudly wears its PS1 Harry Potter inspirations on the sleeves of its wizard mantle. Unlike Hogwarts Legacy, this unofficial parody game aims to capitalize on the sillier side of the wizarding world.

Players are tasked with exploring Grumblemort’s (yes, that’s his real name) wizard school and discovering the evil vault deep within the castle’s dungeon. Sounds pretty familiar, right?

Well, unlike the PS1 classics, Harry Potter fans don’t have to embark on their magical adventure alone. Instead, you can team up with other mages in both online PvP and cooperative play, adding an extra layer of madness to your game. There are also a “plethora of spells to learn” and the most exciting thing is that they can be used on other players.

The full list of spells has yet to be announced, but the demo showed how one spell turns players’ bodies into jelly – perhaps inspired by the wizarding world’s infamous Jelly-Legs Curse – making them flail, while another lets you lift objects. and other players. If that wasn’t exciting enough, Secret Agent Wizard Boy also offers potions classes, well, sort of.

If you can locate a cauldron, you can add ingredients that will reward you with unique concoctions. For example, placing the game’s deadly landmines in the cauldron will reward you with a devastating Explosive Potion, which can be thrown at other players or used to open hidden paths.

Another potion increases your magical power, giving your magical abilities a little more oomph. While a release date for Secret Agent Wizard Boy has not yet been announced, more spells and potion combinations will likely be added upon the game’s release.

Anyway, if you’re a Harry Potter fan and love the PS1 games, add Secret Agent Wizard Boy to your Steam wishlist and download the demo.
