Bloober announces its next game after Silent Hill 2 Remake-Cronos: The New Dawn

Bloober released Silent Hill 2 remake earlier this month, and the developer is now gearing up for its next release. Blooper has announced its next game, a sci-fi survival horror called Chronos: The New Dawn.

Blooper announced the news and revealed the game’s first trailer during today’s Xbox Partner Preview. THE trailer shows a frightening look at the game’s dark world and zombie-like monsters. Additionally, the trailer offers the first look at the gameplay, which will be from a third-person perspective, almost similar to Dead Space.

The game’s story will revolve around time travel, mixing in a post-apocalyptic future set in 1980s Poland. Players will take on the role of a Traveler, exploring a wasteland devastated by a mysterious event known as “the Change”. Players will navigate this dangerous world full of monstrous abominations while unraveling a twisted time travel narrative.

In a statement, Piotr Babieno, CEO of Bloober Team, expressed the studio’s enthusiasm:

By fusing the mysterious atmosphere of horror with the limitless potential of science fiction, Kronos promises to deliver a new survival experience. We can’t wait to share it with the world in 2025.”

Chronos: The New Dawn is Blooper’s first original franchise in the survival horror genre, following the studio’s recent success with Silent Hill 2 remakepublished by Konami. Silent Hill 2 remake sold 1 million copies within a week of the game’s release on October 8, 2024.

Chronos: The New Dawn It will be released next year for Xbox Series X|S, PC and PS5.
