Monopoly presents Flavortown edition by Guy Fieri

Celebrity chef Guy Fieri’s Flavortown empire recently expanded into the pop culture realm of board games with the introduction of a Monopoly game dedicated to the longtime Sonoma County resident.

Under license from Hasbro, board game company The OP Games released the Monopoly Flavortown edition last month, featuring Fieri-inspired elements in the game’s spaces, tokens, cards and virtual money.

The game sells for US$49.99.

Fieri, for example, said he’s adding Monopoly Flavortown to his family’s game night in an Instagram post on Wednesday.

The iconic property-trading board game has been around for nearly 90 years and has been adapted into special editions ranging from “Star Wars” to “Ted Lasso.” Now, with Fieri’s Flavortown, players can embark on a culinary adventure as they navigate the board, negotiate deals, and acquire properties.

Fieri-inspired features include spaces on the board with the names of his restaurants, like Chicken Guy! and the now-closed Guy’s American Kitchen & Bar. Game pieces include Fieri’s red 1968 Chevy Camaro SS convertible, seen on his longtime Food Network show, “Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives.” The Chance and Community Chest cards are also inspired by Fieri’s career and personal life.

“We love that Flavortown not only honors the beloved tradition of MONOPOLY, but also pays homage to the boundless creativity and culinary prowess of Guy Fieri,” said Dane Chapin, CEO of The Op Games, in a press release. “It’s an invitation for fans to dive into the exciting world of Flavortown and live out their dreams of building a restaurant empire.”

The Monopoly Flavortown edition is now available at major retailers nationwide and online at theop.games.
