Ontario man arrested for DWI after family incident

A Wayne County man was arrested Friday morning for drunken driving following an investigation into a domestic disturbance, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say Kevin Kilmer, 31, of Furnace Road, was taken into custody shortly after midnight after reports of family trouble at his residence. Kilmer allegedly left the scene in his vehicle after consuming alcohol and was later located by officers when he returned home.

During the investigation, Kilmer admitted to drinking before driving, authorities said. Further checks revealed that his driver’s license was suspended and his vehicle had not been inspected. Kilmer was arrested and transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, where a breathalyzer test showed his blood alcohol content (BAC) was 0.09%.

He was released with traffic tickets and is scheduled to appear in Ontario Municipal Court at a later date to answer the charges.
