Theater Company Adds Fall Tour of County’s Supernatural Folktales

Played by six actors, Supernatural Shropshire is set in a small village pub, where a woman’s peaceful drinking is disturbed by the arrival of a stranger. With the help of a cast of storytellers, the stranger spends the night telling various Shropshire folk tales, including stories of ghosts, wicked witches and even the devil himself, but who is this mysterious stranger and why is it so important that Does she believe the stories he tells? ?

Supernatural Shropshire was written by local playwright and SDC member Michele Rowland-Jones, who says: “Shropshire has a wealth of fascinating folktales and I hope audiences enjoy hearing them as much as I enjoyed researching and incorporating them. them in my piece. .”

Supernatural Shropshire will visit the following locations:

Saturday 26th October – Oscars at The Assembly Rooms, Ludlow

Thursday 31st October – The Edge Arts Centre, Much Wenlock

Friday 1st November – Montford Parish Hall, near Shrewsbury

Friday 15th November – All Stretton Village Hall, near Church Stretton
