Uttar Pradesh: Three minor boys rape landlord’s five-year-old daughter in Ballia district

A five-year-old girl was allegedly raped by three minor boys who lived as lodgers in her house in Uttar Pradesh’s Ballia district, police said on Saturday. The girl’s family alleged that the three accused – aged six, 13 and 16 – raped the child while they played on the terrace of their house.

The incident took place on Wednesday night (October 16) in the Kotwali police station area. All three boys were detained.

The police registered a case against the accused under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) Act and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act, based on a complaint filed by the girl’s mother.

After receiving information about the incident, SP Vir visited the crime scene and inspected it along with a forensic team, said Station House Officer (SHO) Yogendra Bahadur Singh. PTI news agency.

“The three accused have been detained and are being questioned,” Singh said.

In a similar incident last month, a seven-year-old girl was allegedly raped by two minor boys, one aged 8 and the other aged 7, in a deserted place at Sadar Kotwali police station in the city.
