Emmerdale’s Tom got caught, Corrie’s death and more soap spoilers

Soap spoilers follow.

One soap opera villain down, one to go. While Coronation Street killed Joel Deering in a huge detective story, Emmerdale is busy preparing for Tom King’s inevitable downfall.

These are just two of the big soap stories making headlines this week, along with the promise of a Halloween drama for EastEnders and more River Boy action in At home and away.

Did you miss any gossip this week? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with our regular Sunday roundup of the biggest stories from the past seven days.

Tom King, Emmerdale

TVI

Eagle eyes Emmerdale fans will have already seen sensible Nicola King looking a little hesitant about evil Tom’s lies in recent weeks. She’s clearly no fool – and Tom should be very worried.

Earlier this week, new spoilers revealed that Nicola is about to notice her young stepson Carl looking scared around Tom. We’re sure she’ll want answers very quickly, which will certainly be tricky for Tom, as Carl knows all about the missing tablet…

Sam Dingle, Belle Dingle, Cain Dingle, Emmerdale

TVI

Tom’s ongoing story takes a second twist next week when Belle discovers that her late father, Zak, knew about the villain’s abuse before he died.

Belle recently expressed relief that Zak passed away without knowing the harrowing details of what she had been through. But when Mandy lets some crucial information slip, Belle is hurt to discover that Cain talked to Zak about it behind his back.

Dee Dee Bailey, Coronation Street

TVI

Coronation Street ended this week with a hard-hitting flashback that revealed Dee-Dee Bailey is keeping secrets during the night Joel Deering died.

We suspect this was a red herring rather than the end result of the mystery, but Dee-Dee may have to be careful next week as DC Kit Green grows suspicious of her behavior.

There’s also trouble for Dee-Dee when she invites Lauren Bolton and baby Frankie to move in, but immediately regrets it. Can she really handle them living under her roof? And is his erratic behavior a sign of a broken heart or something more sinister?
