Security guards at Ola service center? Kunal Kamra highlights new allegations against Bhavish Aggarwal company | Tendencies

Stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra has once again taken aim at Ola and its founder Bhavish Aggarwal, this time drawing attention to an unusual situation at Ola service centers. His comments followed a post by X user RJ Kashyap, who claimed to have witnessed several security guards at their local Ola service center. The post read: “@kunalkamra88 Ola has already recruited around 5-6 security guards at each service center… I just visited my service center near Ola and observed all the security guards arguing with customers, even female customers. So that’s the kind of service we’re going to have.”

HT.com has reached out to Ola Electric for comment on the allegations. The company declined to comment.

Kamra cited user X’s post, adding: “Please can a journalist verify this? If true, this is truly unique – sales team for sales and security for after-sales.”

Another user, Amol Choudhary, further aggravated the situation by writing about his own worrying experience at the Ola Experience Center in Virar, Mumbai. He stated, “See @kunalkamra88 Ola service inquiry ticket 05735050 is scheduled for 20/10/2024 at OLA Experience Centre, Virar-Mumbai and no one is taking a scooter for repair, no job sheet has been provided. Security guards are at the center to respond to customers with weapons.”

Accompanying his post were three images and a video of the center.

Kamra reacted to this post by tagging Aggarwal, sarcastically writing, “Hey @bhash, you sold an Indian product so innovative that you had to hire security guards to protect the staff…”

Previous exchanges

This is not the first time Kamra has publicly criticized Ola. Last week, he mocked Ola’s lack of transparency regarding customer complaints. “Ola Electric has not disclosed any plans to issue refunds or set an end date for current customer complaints. We don’t even know if there is a plan… All I can do is warn @bhash that he has to present a public plan that doesn’t include employing me,” he posted on X (formerly Twitter).

The ongoing fight between Kamra and Aggarwal began when Kamra responded to a post showing Ola’s gigafactory with a photo of several unmaintained Ola Electric scooters. Aggarwal retaliated by dismissing Kamra as a “failed stand-up comic” and suggesting that his post was “paid for,” while insisting that Ola Electric is expanding its service network to resolve delays.

Tough Goenka’s reaction

The heated exchange attracted attention, including a light-hearted comment from Harsh Goenka. He shared, “If I have to travel short distances, say, from one ‘kamra’ to another, I use my Ola,” accompanied by a photo of him riding an Ola e-scooter.

Goenka’s post provided a humorous contrast to the ongoing dispute, showing how social media can bring levity amidst heated arguments.
