One dead after shooting at Clovis home

CLOVIS, Calif. (FOX26) – UPDATE: Clovis police say a woman has died and it appears to be from a gunshot wound.

It is unclear where the woman was shot or how many times.

CPD says the area will be closed for at least the next few hours.

It is not known who shot the woman or where the shooter is.

CPD says it appears there were many people living in the house.

A large police presence closed streets in Clovis, police said.

CPD says on Saturday morning, Clovis Police, EMS and Clovis Fire responded to a case of domestic violence in the 3800 block of Hampton Way, near Ashlan and Leonard.

The victim’s family members are also at the scene of the incident.

Streets near the scene are blocked off and CPD continues to search for the suspect.

According to a person at the scene, a woman was shot to death, which the Clovis Police Department has not confirmed.

Clovis PD says this was a shooting with at least two young children in the home at the time.
