Gardaí seek witnesses to hit-and-run in Dublin and incident involving cyclist in Tralee – The Irish Times

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a hit-and-run incident in Clondalkin, Dublin, and an incident involving a cyclist in Tralee, Co Kerry.

The collision in Dublin involved a male pedestrian and a van on Cloverhill Road at around 1.45pm on Sunday. The pedestrian, a 20-year-old man, was taken to hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The van was unable to remain at the scene.

Meanwhile, emergency services were alerted after a cyclist was found unconscious on the side of the road on Bracker O’Regan Road in Tralee at around 12.45pm.

The cyclist, a man in his 60s, was riding an electric bike, the Garda press office said.

He was treated at the scene before being taken by ambulance to Kerry University Hospital, where his injuries are described as serious.

Gardaí have asked anyone with dashcam footage, including dash cam video, of the areas of any incidents at the time to assist them with their investigations.
