Strictly’s Katya Jones makes new admission about Wynne Evans | TV and Radio | Showbiz and TV

Katya Jones and her Strictly Come Dancing partner Wynne Evans have been the talk of the dance floor after being involved in a controversy on the hit BBC show.

The drama unfolded when an “inside joke” led to claims that Wynne made Katya feel “uncomfortable” by placing his hand on her waist, sparking a wave of speculation. However, Katya was quick to set the record straight, insisting everything was in good spirits.

Delighted to progress to Halloween week on Strictly, Katya couldn’t contain her excitement, hugging Wynne in celebration of surviving the cut. The pair later opened up to Claudia Winkleman about the women renovating their training facility in Wales.

The dancing sensation also shared that Wynne was teaching Welsh lessons, saying “diolch” with gratitude to her supporters.

The allegations had previously left Wynne expressing her devastation. He explained: “I am absolutely heartbroken by the things that have been written about me in the last few days.

“It’s not good living in those times, but basically Katya and I are very, very close and we’re good friends, and on Saturday night we made a stupid joke.”

He added, “It was a stupid joke that went wrong, okay? We thought it was funny. It wasn’t funny. It was totally misinterpreted. It’s all on Katya’s social media. She talked about it. She explained that it was a joke.”

“She wasn’t offended at all. She’s not uncomfortable. We have a brilliant friendship, an absolutely close friendship, and I’m sorry if anyone was offended by that, but it was a joke. And that’s all there is. There is no a true story, actually.”

During the It Takes Two interview, Katya also took a moment to defend Wynne.

She stated, “I’ll start dancing, I promise, but can I first get something out of the way that I feel has overshadowed our performance for no reason at all, and frankly, I actually can’t stand sitting here watching this man (Wynne) being portrayed as someone which is not.

“Actually, it couldn’t be further from the truth, so I have to make it absolutely clear that this whole hand and high five incident on Saturday night was an inside joke between Wynne and I. joke? Yes! Was it a bad joke?

Strictly Come Dancing returns on Saturday 26th October at 6.25pm
