Jayden Daniels injury update: Latest on Commanders QB status in Week 7

The Washington Commanders have been one of the NFL’s most pleasant surprises this season, and that’s almost entirely due to rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels.

But there is concern for the standout signal-caller on Sunday, as he appeared to hurt his abdomen in the first quarter of the Week 7 game against the Carolina Panthers.

With the Commanders in the red zone, Daniels could be seen clutching his abdomen after a play. This led to him being examined in the blue medical tent, which is worrying to say the least.

Here’s the latest update on Daniels.

Daniels was examined by trainers on the bench before traveling to the blue medical tent. It’s unclear what injury he’s dealing with exactly, but it’s clearly to Daniels’ abdomen and the quarterback is feeling discomfort.

Fortunately, Daniels was cleared after his trip to the tent and returned to the game, according to Nicki Jhabvala of the Washington Post.

While this is certainly great news, Daniels’ injury becomes something to monitor for the rest of the game. We will update this page if any other news becomes available.
