Why Eric Omondi Went In Disguise During Mashujaa Day

Upon confirming his safety, Omondi revealed that he had received information about a plan to harm him. To avoid arrest and ensure his safety, he disguised himself as a buibui.

“I’m free. I’ve been at Uhuru Park all morning but I was undercover because I received information and was told to be careful. A certain Gen Z police officer called me at 6:30 am and informed me that they had received orders to deal with me once and for all “, said Omondi.

However, when police used tear gas on the crowd, he was forced to remove his disguise because he was unable to run while wearing it. According to Omondi, the police were surprised to discover his presence at the scene.

“At around 12pm, the police chased us and since I couldn’t run on the bui bui, I was noticed. The police were shocked to realize it was me. The important thing is that we showed up and celebrated our heroes,” he added.
