Delhi Police contacted Telegram following an explosion in front of a CRPF school in the city. Employees wrote to the messaging app seeking information about a shared channel CCTV images of the incident. The channel, called ‘Justice League India,’ posted the footage shortly after the explosion occurred on Sunday (October 20). According to a report by news agency PTI, the Delhi Police is investigating a possible Link Khalistani in the explosion and asked Telegram for details about the channel.
Police also reached out to other social media platforms for information related to the incident. However, Telegram has not yet responded to the request.
Investigations into the bomb blast that destroyed a wall of the CRPF school in Prashant Vihar area of Rohini are ongoing. However, no one was injured in the explosion, but a sign, panels of nearby stores and windows of vehicles parked near the site were damaged in the incident. Authorities are exploring every possible angle.
According to an FIR filed by the police (seen by PTI), the presence of “white powder” was revealed at the blast site. The explosion, caused by an “unknown explosive substance”, is now being investigated further. Furthermore, police sources also confirmed the recovery of CCTV footage showing a suspect near the school the night before the incident. This footage could provide crucial clues in identifying those responsible for the explosion.

How this Telegram post could be related to the explosion

A Telegram post claiming responsibility for the explosion also appeared on social media. The post, purportedly from pro-Khalistan separatists, claims the attack was in retaliation for the attack on their members by Indian agents. Authorities are currently verifying the authenticity of the post and investigating the potential involvement of pro-Khalistani separatist groups.
The post that was shared by Telegram post by “Justice League India” said: “If the dastardly Indian agency and its master think they can hire filthy goons to attack our members and silence our voice, then they live in a world of fools. They cannot imagine how close we are to them and how capable we are of attacking at any moment #KhalistanZindabad #JLI.”
“The police wrote to Telegram to know the details of the creator of the group – Indian Justice League – in which the CCTV of the blast was shared with a watermark of Khalistan Zindabad on it,” noted a police source.
A suspect wearing a white t-shirt was captured on CCTV near the blast site the night before the incident. It is suspected that an IED was hidden in a pit near the wall of the CRPF school. A white powder found at the scene is being analyzed by the NSG to determine the composition of the bomb. The perpetrator may have chosen the location to avoid hurting people but still send a message, authorities added.
