Samantha Irvin set to follow Ricochet to AEW after WWE exit

When Samantha Irvin shocked the professional wrestling world by announcing her departure from WWE as Monday Night RAWFor the ring announcer, one narrative immediately came into focus: she was to follow her Ricochet finances to AEW.

On paper, it makes sense, right? Irvin is one of the best announcers in the game, his fiance seems like a focal point of the promotion moving forward, and with a new media deal in place, the promotion could look to execute a true brand split; with “The First in Flight” and the first CRUDE announcer of a supposed package, why not put Irvin and Ricochet on a show more often to give each show a unique vibe?

If AEW is willing to have different commentary teams Dynamite against Collisionwhy not a different ring announcer too, especially if he can influence the storylines?

It’s true that perhaps Irvin doesn’t want to continue working in professional wrestling. She is an accomplished singer and flutist who has appeared on America’s talent and worked in Las Vegas and certainly has opportunities to use his talents outside of space. That being said, we don’t really know why Irvin is leaving WWE, whether it’s her decision, the promotion’s decision or a mutual decision; if the announcement is still on the cards for Irvin, or if another opportunity like managing Ricochet better suits her interests, AEW gives her the best opportunity to pursue it at a guaranteed salary. Sign her, Tony Khan; is in the interest of promotion.

When news broke that Irvin’s time in WWE was over, the first CRUDE The commentator took to social media to thank everyone who helped her along the journey.

WWE Universe, my time as your Monday Night Raw Ring announcer has come to an end. I love you all tremendously and this does not mark the end of my art, I have a whole more life to share.

Thank you to all the WWE fans who accepted me. To the Women’s Locker Room: you are the most incredible group of people on the face of the Earth. I am very proud to be your colleague and friend.

To the crew and cameramen: I can’t thank you enough for the encouragement and laughs. You have created a wonderful, positive atmosphere for me. I love you all.

To WWE Superstars, past and present: I have thanked you since 1989 and will continue to thank you for the rest of my days for entertaining us. For raising the bar again and again. For risking their bodies and finding new ways to keep us shocked and wanting more. There is no form of entertainment like this and not just any artist can be a WWE Superstar. The respect I have for you is more than I can express. Thank you for making it so easy to put emotion and enthusiasm into your presentations. You are the stars that stars idolize. It doesn’t get any bigger and I’m proud to have used my voice to let the world know that.
