Mammograms Added to List of Free Services Offered by Heartland Medical Group

Calvert City, Ky. (KFVS) – Baptist Health Medical Group Family Medicine Calvert City is expanding its women’s health service offerings to include 3D digital mammograms.

This service is the latest addition to their free offerings, which already include pelvic exams, breast exams and bone densitometry that are currently offered on-site.

They say the addition will ensure quality care for surrounding residents who previously had to travel for a screening mammogram.

BHMG Family Medicine Calvert City says having an annual mammogram increases the chance of detecting breast cancer at an early stage, when it is most treatable.

In addition to the service, when patients schedule a mammogram, they will receive a survey to determine if they are eligible for genetic testing based on their personal and family medical history.

Genetic testing is also available in the office if you are eligible.
