Lange war é ruhig rund um the Drum-Software Addictive Drums, doch jetzt hat der Hersteller ein new Update vorgestellt. Is the new XLN Audio Addictive Drums 2.5 version released?

With Addictive Drums 2.5 introduces the original XLN Audio name and a major update to the trusted drum software. For version 3 there is no solution, but the little Sprung auf 2.5 brings a couple of schöne Sachen mit sich.

So bietet Addictive Drums 2.5 zunächst mal einen neuen Look, so dass das ganze Interface deutlich heller und freundlicher gestaltet ist. A new “Trig Gate” effect has been created that allows internal MIDI drum notes to be triggered. Mit Hilfe dreier Fader is less einstellen, like various Kick, Snare or Toms signals from the Gate triggern. Dazu lässt sich die Release und der Parameter Floor individual einstellen. Auch eine Synchronization zum DAW-Tempo (über eine Notenangabe) ist möglich.

Ebenfalls is the new “Boost” compressor mode, which offers “more punch and attack” and is specially designed for drums with multiband compression.

The built-in equalizer only has clear visual feedback of the response time of the signals on all frequencies you use, so German settings are easy and pleasant.

Some changes improve Beat Transformer for more drum pattern variations.

The v2.5 update is fully compatible and works with all Addictive Drums 2 components (ADpaks, MIDIpaks, and Kitpiece paks).

The update was supported by the XLN online installer and even offers an addictive battery 2, free version license.
