Giants veteran on Bill Belichick criticism: ‘I don’t really care about his (opinion)’

Bill Belichick had some criticism of the New York Giants during his appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” this week, and he specifically focused on the offensive line issues the team is facing.

Giants right tackle Jermaine Eluemunor, who played for the former Patriots coach, says he doesn’t care about Belichick’s opinion.

“Bill was my coach before, and you know, I talk about how much I didn’t like New England,” Eluemunor said on WFAN, via Audacy. “So whatever Bill thinks is what Bill thinks; everyone is free to have their opinion and I don’t really care about his. We’ve been one of the best when it comes to pass blocking in the league, and when we’ve had the opportunity to run blocking, we’ve been pretty good as well. So I couldn’t care less what a coach outside the building, who isn’t even a coach at the moment, has to say; That’s not a shot at him, obviously he’s a legendary coach, but I couldn’t care less what someone outside the building has to say about our unit when there are situations far worse than ours right now.”

Eluemunor played at New England in 2019 and 2020.

Giants left tackle Andrew Thomas underwent season-ending foot surgery last week. In Sunday’s 28-3 loss to the Eagles, Josh Ezeudu stepped up to the plate and the former third-round pick allowed two sacks and a quarterback hustle.
