Chrisley, 55, was fired from his job as his chaplain’s assistant after prison officials at the Pensacola, Florida, facility noticed that the reality star was “becoming too talkative with certain inmates,” his attorney Jay Surgent told TMZ.

During his short tenure, the father of five helped organize services and celebrations for Christian, Muslim and Jewish inmates, Surgent said, adding that Chrisley “did a good job” before being released.

Surgent added that the reason for Chrisley’s sudden dismissal was “unfounded” and that he could continue to attend religious services.

An FPC Pensacola spokesperson told the outlet, “For privacy reasons, we do not comment on conditions for incarcerated individuals, including their work assignments.”

Chrisley was “very disappointed and upset that he can no longer participate in the management of the Pensacola worship facility, which includes Christian, Jewish and Muslim worship services,” Surgent told People.

Still, the ordeal “did not affect his firm belief that God will work everything out for him, Julie and his family in the end,” the star’s lawyer added.

The Post has reached out to FPC Pensacola and Chrisley representatives for comment.

In June 2022, a jury found Todd and his wife Julie guilty of conspiring to defraud community banks of more than $30 million in fraudulent loans. They were also found guilty of tax evasion and conspiracy to defraud the IRS.

Her accountant Peter Tarantino was also given a prison sentence.

Todd is expected to be released in June 2032, while his wife is scheduled to be released from their prison in Lexington, Kentucky in April 2028.

The couple’s lawyers said they were “extremely disappointed” after a setback in their re-sentencing, with the judge upholding their 84-month sentence.

Chrisley has spoken openly about his experiences in prison, despite being in one of the most comfortable prisons in America.

He has complained about the “disgustingly dirty” living conditions in the slammer, the poor choice of meals and the fact that he spots animals where food is stored.

Most recently, he expressed concerns about his wife’s “health and well-being.”
