Foundation Phase player designs winning armband for No Room for Racism competition – News

Head of Academy Player Care and former Palace player Alex Wynter organized the competition. “This is a great initiative for boys to take part in, to help increase their awareness and understanding of the problems that racism causes,” he explained.

“By creating their armband designs, the boys had the opportunity to celebrate diversity and show what it means to them. Having the President involved in selecting a winner was great for us, as was having the armband worn by Justin Devenny at Selhurst Park in front of thousands of fans.

“The club itself is so diverse, from the men’s first team, the women’s first team, through to the U9s and pre-Academy, even within the team and Foundation, it was so great to have Kingly’s design represent the club as a whole.”

In fact, Kingly’s design encapsulated the club’s belief and message of upholding a collective commitment to improving diversity and combating discrimination in all forms.

This will be a lasting memory in Kingly’s mind, as well as all the Basic Phase players who participated, as their work can come to life and potentially have an impact in delivering a message about an issue they are passionate about. on.
