Airbnb opens ‘Beetlejuice’ haunted house to guests… if you dare

Just in time for Halloween, Airbnb announced that it is opening the doors to the Deetz residence, the house made famous in Tim Burtonwas hit Beetle juice films.

“Enjoy Delia’s extraordinary home during this otherworldly experience at the famous Deetz residence exactly as she left it – draped in a black veil of mourning for her beloved husband and filled with memories, her treasured works of art, ghosts, and a portal to life after death,” the home-sharing company taunts.

The house is located in Hillsborough Township, New Jersey, replacing the fictional Winter River, Connecticut from the films.

The listing features a personal invitation from Delia Deetz, the quirky avant-garde artist played by Catarina O’Hara in the franchise.

“Now that my work is being valued and recognized posthumously, it is only right that artistic souls are invited to my magnificent home. So come admire my life’s work and create with a capital C in the first art class from beyond the grave.

“Just be careful with that annoying rascal in the attic!” she warns about Michael Keatonis the “ghost with more”.

Oh, and if you happen to say the B word three times, “don’t be surprised if really strange things happen,” the company warns. “You might even find yourself in The Afterlife. Follow the bright green light to the waiting room with the rest of the recently deceased.”

You won’t be able to spend the night at the house, “due to some recent ‘spiritual difficulties'”, but the doors are open for 10 three-hour bookings, which will take place from November 16th to 27th for up to six people. each. Discover all the details here.
