Arlington High School Sports Schedule for Oct. 25-31

Arlington high schools have a full week of sports ahead of them, including plenty of playoff events.

There will only be one football game on Friday night (Oct. 25) involving an Arlington team because the Wakefield Warriors and Yorktown Patriots have a bye this week.

Other events include the Liberty District girls field hockey tournament championship match on Oct. 25 and the Virginia High School League Girls State Open golf tournament, in which two Arlington players earned spots.

FRIDAY, OCT. 25

Soccer

• McLean at Washington-Liberty, 7 p.m.

Field Hockey

Yorktown vs. Washington-Liberty in district tournament final, 7 p.m.

Men’s football

• Collegiate in Bishop O’Connell, 3 p.m.

SATURDAY, OCT. 26

Soccer

• Carroll at Bishop O’Connell, 1 p.m.

Cross country

• Bishop O’Connell at the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference championship meet at Kenilworth Park in D.C. at 11:30 a.m.

Cheerleader

• 6D North Region Championships at Centerville High School at 12:30 p.m.

MONDAY, OCT. 28

Golf

• Girls State Open in Harrisonburg, 9 a.m.

Men’s football

• Bishop O’Connell at the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference TBA tournament

Women’s Volleyball

• First-round Liberty District tournament matches with top seeds, 7 p.m.

TUESDAY, OCT. 29

Ultimate Frisbee

• Career Center for Girls in Yorktown, 6 p.m.
• Career Center at Yorktown Boys, 7 p.m.

Women’s football

• Bishop O’Connell at the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference TBA tournament

WEDNESDAY, OCT. 30

Women’s Volleyball

• Liberty District tournament semifinal matches, to be determined

Ultimate Frisbee

Cross County

• Liberty District Championship meets at Burke Lake Park at 2 p.m.
