Body recovered in Fox River identified Friday as a 68-year-old man

APPLETON (NBC 26) – A body was recovered from the Fox River on Friday, the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

Just before 11:20 a.m., crews were called to the Fox River near E. Banta Court in the Town of Appleton for reports of a body found in the water.

The body was recovered and identified as a 68-year-old man from Appleton who had previously been reported missing to authorities.

No foul play is suspected and the investigation is ongoing, the news release said.
