Man from Rock Co. convicted of killing a motorcyclist while high on meth

JANESVILLE, Wis. (WIFR) – A 45-year-old man has been convicted in a car versus motorcycle crash that left one man dead and another person sent to the hospital.

Keith Rose of Evansville was found guilty in Rock County court of homicide by intoxicated vehicular operation.

He received the maximum sentence of 25 years in the Wisconsin Prison System; 15 years behind bars and 10 years of extended supervision, according to the Rock County District Attorney’s Office.

The accident happened at 4:30 am June 22, 2023 on W. Highway 11 in Janesville. Investigators say Rose was driving while high on meth when he crossed the center line and struck the motorcycle head-on. The 53-year-old motorcyclist from Janesville died at the scene, according to investigators. Rose’s passenger was also injured.
