Conway man, 57, accused of raping 11-year-old girl

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WBTW) – A 57-year-old Conway man is in jail after allegedly raping an 11-year-old girl over the summer, according to Horry County authorities.

Authorities arrested JG Moreno Hernandez on Wednesday and charged him with first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor. No bail had been set as of Friday afternoon and he remained at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center.

The alleged incidents occurred between June and August, according to an arrest warrant, which said the victim told authorities what happened during a forensic interview.

News13 is not releasing details about the case due to the nature of the investigation.
