Man identified after fatal city bus crash earlier this month

COLORADO SPRINGS – A man has been identified after a fatal crash involving a city bus earlier this month in Colorado Springs.

He was identified as 46-year-old Anthony Durham, according to the El Paso County Coroner’s Office.

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), there have been 43 traffic fatalities this year. Last year at this time there were 52 road deaths.

The accident happened around 7:45 a.m. on October 12 at the intersection of Austin Bluffs Parkway and Regent Circle, located near UCCS.

According to CSPD, the crash involved an SUV and a city bus. The driver of the SUV, later identified as Durham, was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.

The CSPD investigation revealed that the bus had a green light and was entering the intersection when the SUV struck it.
