Man arrested for raping teenage daughter in Gerik

GERIK: A man has been in pre-trial detention for a week for allegedly raping his 14-year-old daughter in Bersia on Wednesday (October 23).

According to Sinar Harian, Gerik OCPD Supt Zulkifli Mahmood said the 42-year-old man was arrested after the victim filed a report against him.

“The suspect was arrested by Jeti Air Temin police at around 7.45am on Friday (October 25).

“Based on the initial investigation, the incident occurred between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. The victim was taken to hospital for examination before a police report was made,” he said.

Supt Zulkifli added that the man already had a criminal record for incest.
