Units are responding to a two-car crash and fire in Destin, one of which was flown to the hospital

OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. – First responders are on the scene of a serious two-car crash in Destin Friday evening.

According to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened at the intersection of Emerald Coast Pkwy (Hwy 98) and Trista Terrace Ct.

Destin Fire Rescue reported the accident as a rollover vehicle. One vehicle appears to have caught fire. Several people were taken to the Fort Walton Beach emergency room as “trauma alert patients.” One person was flown to Sacred Heart Pensacola.

Currently, all westbound lanes are closed, according to OCSO.
