Darrin Rockcole is a judge at the Halloween Costume Contest for Dogs

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – Darrin Rockcole, First Alert’s chief meteorologist, had a tough assignment Friday, but he wasn’t covering a weather event.

Instead, he judged dogs dressed up in Halloween costumes at NCG Theaters as part of a promotion for Town Square Radio.

News 10 caught up with several puppies. From Princess Jasmine on a magic carpet to a bucket of fried chicken, they were absolute cuties, all dressed up, and hopefully more places to go.

“This honestly came about because we were thinking about some cool promotions for Halloween and who doesn’t love seeing a dog in a Halloween costume?” said Nathan Myers, brand manager at NOW 97.5 FM.

There was coffee for the humans and dog-friendly ice cream for the four-legged friends to enjoy.

No word on the winner of the match tonight, but honestly, they’re all winners.
