Star of famed survival TV show ‘Naked and Afraid’ tragically died in car crash

In 2017, Sarah appeared on the big screen in the popular Discovery Channel reality survival show, Naked and scared. Danser was an admirable outdoor survivalist who thrived in the wilderness. After her first season, she also appeared in season 11 and competed in the Naked and Afraid XL series in 2018, 2020 and 2021. Moreover, in 2023, she was in a separate reality show known as Fight to survive.

On October 20, the 34-year-old Colorado resident was struck by a vehicle in Kahala, Hawaii. Dancer was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where she later died on October 22.

According to authorities, the vehicle that struck Danser was driven by a 59-year-old man who lost control of his vehicle, causing the vehicle to crash into a parked car where Danser was sitting in the passenger seat. Police have confirmed that drugs and alcohol were involved not involved in the accident, but speed was a factor.

The 59-year-old man is currently in serious condition and continues to be treated in hospital.

According to KSLADancer lived part-time in Kewalo Basin, Hawaii. She worked at Island Divers Hawaii who wrote a message on Facebook saying: “It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to a good friend and a great captain. Sarah brought so much energy to everyone she came into contact with. You will be greatly missed.”

Her brother, Jake Danser, said, “Magical is the way to describe her. Sarah had a positive energy about her that really filled the environment she was in.”

Dancer was a SCUBA diver, boat captain and a famous survivalist. Her latest Instagram post shows her smiling and enjoying her time on the water.

Her father, Dan Danser, remembers his daughter saving his life while diving in Indonesia. It is shared that Sarah Danser has made a positive difference in the lives of those around her. Her community is currently in deep mourning.
