Secret trick to resend a text message with the new Send Later feature in iOS 18

Tired of forgetting to send important messages at the right time?

Ios 18 brings a breakthrough feature to the Messages app: the ability to schedule text messages for future delivery.

This long-awaited addition lets you prepare messages in advance and schedule them to send at a specific time, so you never miss an important reminder or forget to wish someone a happy birthday. Your recipient can use any device and not know that the message has been scheduled.

Before you dive into this new feature iOS 18it is essential to ensure that your device is updated to the latest operating system.

  • Open the Institutions app on your device.

  • Crane General.

  • Crane About. Here you will see the version number next to Software Version.

  • Go to Institutions.

  • Crane General.

  • Crane Software update.

  • If iOS 18 is available, tap Download and install.

  • Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the update.

Using the new Send Later feature is simple:

  • Open the To inform app.

  • Start one new conversation or select one existing.

  • Type your message as usual.

  • Instead of sending immediately, tap the plus sign (+). next to the text box.

  • Select Send later in the menu (you may need to tap More first).

  • Choose the date and time you want the message to be sent.

  • Tap the send button, that’s the blue up arrow, to schedule your message.

  • Your scheduled message will appear in the conversation with a striped outline, and the scheduled shipping time is displayed above it.

Remark: Scheduled messages are encrypted and stored only on Apple servers until they are sent. Once a message has been sent, it will be deleted Apple serversthe message bubble becomes a solid color and the dotted line disappears.

You can reschedule a message until its delivery time.

  • Go to the To inform app on your iPhone.

  • Go to the conversation with the messageeu would like to make a new appointment.

  • Crane Editing next to the date (above your scheduled message), and then do one of the following:

  • To reschedule the appointment, tap Edit time, choose one new time and then tap away from the schedule to commit to the new era.

  • If you want to send it immediately, crane Send message.

How to schedule a free session with Apple Support

You can edit a scheduled message until its delivery time.

  • Go to the Messaging app on your iPhone.

  • Go to the conversation with the scheduled message you want to edit.

  • Press and hold the button message bubbleand then tap Editing.

  • Make any changes, then tap the finchk in the blue circle to resend with edits or the X in the gray circle to return.

What is artificial intelligence (Ai)?

When you delete a message before the scheduled time, it is canceled and not delivered to the recipient.

  • Go to the Messaging app on your iPhone.

  • Go to the conversation with the scheduled message you want to delete.

  • Press and hold the button message you want to cancel, then tap Delete.

While Send Later is a great new feature, there are some limitations to keep in mind:

  • Posts can be scheduled up to two weeks in advance. However, this limit may change with future iOS updates.

  • The feature is only available for iMessage conversations (blue bubbles), not for text messages to non-iPhone users (green bubbles).

  • Your iPhone must be online to send scheduled messages. If your device is offline at the scheduled time, the message will be sent as soon as it reconnects to the internet.
