“I’m not here as a celebrity, I’m not here as a politician. I am here as a mother,” Beyoncé, 43, commented at the beginning of her speech at the meeting, which took place in her hometown.

“A mother who cares deeply about the world in which my children and all our children live, a world in which we have the freedom to control our bodies, a world in which we are not divided.”

“Imagine our daughters growing up and seeing what is possible with no ceilings and no limitations,” she added. “We need to vote, and we need you.”

“My whole world revolves around taking care of my children, keeping them safe and giving them a chance at a better life,” she said.

“That is something that unites all American parents, whether we are Republicans, Democrats, Conservatives or Liberals – we all want a better country for our children.”

Not all fans were convinced that Beyoncé was purposefully mirroring Rose’s speech, and many took to the Shade Room comments section to protest.
