Russia will represent Belarus in the World Bank – Business & Economy

WASHINGTON, October 27. /TASS/. Russia will represent Belarus’ interests at the World Bank (WB) from next month, Executive Director of Russia in the WB Roman Marshavin told TASS.

“We will represent (also Minsk) from November 1,” he said, commenting on Belarus’ transition to the WB’s Russian-Syrian Directorate.

The Turkish-Belgian Directorate has until now represented Belarus in the bank. The situation changed at Minsk’s initiative. The Russian delegation in WB has also represented Syria’s interests since 2014.
