Man dead after road rage incident near I-10, Houston police investigate

HOUSTON – Houston Police are investigating after a man died following a traffic accident with officers on Saturday morning.

Around 8:30 a.m., officers observed a disturbance with erratic driving on the westbound I-10 feeder near Lockwood and approached the vehicle. One man got out of the car after failing to comply with officers and ran down the embankment onto the highway.

HPD officers chased the man who tried to cross the highway. A car was unable to stop and hit the man, police said.

Officials pronounced the man dead at the scene.
