Cyberabad police raid KTR’s brother-in-law’s farmhouse over alleged rave party and arrest one for cocaine abuse

HYDERABAD The Cyberabad Special Operations Team (SOT) raided a farmhouse in Janwada over an alleged rave party, held on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday in a joint operation with excise officials and Narsingi police, and arrested a person for cocaine abuse.

The farm is owned by businessman Raj Pakala, brother-in-law of BRS working president KT Rama Rao. A case was registered against him under Section 34 A, 34 (1) r/w 9 of the Excise Act for failure to obtain a license to serve alcohol.

According to police, there were at least 31 people at the party, including 21 men and 14 women. Police conducted searches acting on a tip-off and reportedly found excessive foreign liquor worth 10.5 liters, which was in excess of what was allowed.

In addition, ten bottles of Indian liquor were also found. Police later had those present undergo drug tests.

Among them, a person named Vijay Madduri was taken to hospital for a blood test and tested positive for cocaine. A case was registered against him at the Mokila police station under Section 27 of the NDPS Act.

Reacting to the incident, Union Home Minister Bandi Sanjay demanded immediate arrest of the suspects along with seizure of passports of all prominent persons involved. He also suggested that their location be secured and CCTV footage of the incident released.

Claiming that the Congress government is only pretending to enforce the law but is actually protecting the BRS top brass,

The BJP MP noted that the Janwada farm incident is just the tip of the iceberg.

“It is becoming clear that the Congress and the BRS are playing a ‘give and take’ game, protecting each other’s interests. There are many speculations that #TwitterTillu’s family members might have been present, but Congress is pressuring the police to protect them instead of holding them accountable. TwitterTillu’s (KTR) family appears to be operating in a ‘drug-free zone’, untouched by law enforcement. Telangana is tired of these half measures by the Congress government and needs real action against substance abuse,” Sanjay said in a post on X.
