Another warm-up along the way

Another warm-up along the way

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A beautiful fall day to end the weekend before another warm-up takes over the Midstate this week.

Today is going to be beautiful. Temperatures top out in the low 70s with plenty of sunshine. It will be cold tonight as lows drop into the upper 40s.

Monday marks the start of several days above average. Highs will climb back into the 80s on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Every day is mostly sunny, but also windy with gusts up to 25 MPH at times. Lows will also be much warmer, only dropping into the 60s overnight.

It will be a dry and quiet start to the week. Our next chance of rain will come later today, on Halloween.

Halloween will still be warm in the afternoon with highs in the 70s. Later today, a cold front will begin to move through that will not only drop our temperatures, but also bring some much-needed rain. Unfortunately, that rain comes right at the height of trick-or-treating time. Most children need umbrellas or raincoats with their costumes. Hopefully we’ll see some breaks in the rain in the evening hours.

The rain will linger into Friday morning and cooler air will take over. Highs on Friday will be back in the upper 60s, reaching around 70ºF.
