Charleston police are investigating a fatal car-pedestrian crash

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – The Charleston Police Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating a fatal car-pedestrian crash Thursday evening.

Officers determined the crash happened on Seven Farms Drive near Pier View Street around 11:30 p.m.

They say a pedestrian entered the roadway on the 200 block of Seven Farms Drive and was struck by a vehicle.

The pedestrian was transported to hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

The driver remained at the scene, but no charges have been filed at this time.

The Charleston County Coroner’s Office has not yet released their identities and Charleston police are still investigating.
