Mississippi US Presidential Election 2024: Votes, Result Information, Candidates and Everything You Need to Know

The United States will hold presidential elections on November 5 and Republican candidate Donald Trump will battle Democratic candidate Kamala Harris for the seat of power.

Voting will take place in the nation’s fifty states to choose the party and its candidate who will represent the United States for the next four years.

Mississippi is a state in the southeastern region of the country and shares a border with Tennessee, Alabama, Gulf of Mexico, Louisiana, and Arkansas.

According to the 2020 census, the state has a population of approximately 2.96 million, making it the 35th most populous state in the country. There are 2,112,669 registered voters in Mississippi as of October 2, 2024. In the 2020 presidential election, turnout was 61 percent of registered voters.

Recent polls have suggested Trump is more favored over Harris in Mississippi as the two leaders prepare to battle for the state’s six electoral votes.

In Mississippi, one U.S. Senate seat will be voted on during the November 5, 2024 general election.

The candidates running for the US Senate Mississippi are incumbent Roger Wicker (Republican) and Ty Pinkins (Democrat).

The elections for the Mississippi House of Representatives will vote to elect four U.S. Representatives from the state of Mississippi, and one each from the state’s four congressional districts.
