Speeding Dodge runs red lights and leaves two dead in the early morning

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at 3:43 a.m. on Oct. 27 that left two people dead.

A gray Dodge Hornet traveling south on Jackson Avenue failed to stop at a red light. A silver Ford Fusion was traveling east when the Dodge struck the left side of the Ford.

The Ford was traveling south and struck a wooden utility pole. The Dodge headed southeast and struck a wall of Cash America Pawn.

The driver of the Ford and the front passenger of the Dodge were pronounced dead at the scene. The evader’s driver and two additional passengers were transported to nearby hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

An investigation into the impairment of the driver of the Dodge is underway.
