Updates, news for week 8

Updates, news for week 8

Another week, another huge injury report for the Los Angeles Chargers– this time while Jim Harbaugh and Co. getting ready to play the New Orleans Saints in Week 8.

As expected, star defenseman Joey Bosa was a staple on the injury report all week. So did the rookie breakout with wideout Ladd McConkey. Ditto for wideout DJ Chark and virtually every weapon in Justin Herbert’s offense.

Here’s a quick look at the final injury report before kick-off.

WR Quentin Johnston: Questionable

WR Derius Davis: Questionable

Joey Bosa: Doubtful

Will Dissly: Doubtful

Hayden Hurst: Doubtful

Ladd McConkey: Doubtful

Denzel Perryman: Doubtful

DJ Chark: Doubtful

QB Derek Carr: Doubtful

G Nick Saldiveri: Out

WR Cedrick Wilson Jr.: Out

Bosa went limited for most of the week, after seemingly regressing the week before, with Harbaugh revealing that he was “still working through something.” He is doubtful now but will play, albeit probably on short notice.

The Chargers looked ready to come Chark back from injured reserve last week, just for him apparently dealing with a new injury. It is now doubtful whether he will enter the game.

McConkey suffered a head injury in Week 6, returned and then appeared on the Week 7 report card with a hip injury and played through that to disappointing results in the loss to the Arizona Cardinals. This week he spent the first two days practicing not participating at all due to the hip injury. Like Chark, McConkey is questionable.
