Governor Yusuf mourns the death of spokesperson’s son – News – The Guardian Nigeria News – Nigeria and World News

NUJ, NIPR, NAWOJ, Correspondent Chapel Condolences Dawakin-Tofa

It was a sad moment for the family of Sanusi Ahmad Bature Dawakin-Tofa, spokesperson for Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, following the death of his son, Sadiq Sanusi Bature, in India.

Sadiq, a 15-year-old, was declared dead last Thursday, days after successfully undergoing a bone marrow transplant at an Indian hospital. The young, brilliant fellow had suffered excruciating pain from birth due to sickle cell anemia until he finally succumbed to the supreme calling at his peak.

“This morning I lost my first child Sadiq (Modibbo) Bature at the age of 15. He lived as a good, brilliant and obedient child. Modibbo has suffered from sickle cell anemia all his life and had undergone a successful bone marrow transplant at an Indian hospital this month.
Unfortunately, he died due to complications in his brain after the surgery,” Dawakin-Tofa had posted on his official social media page.

Sadiq’s remains were brought back to Nigeria on Saturday and have since been buried on the same day in his hometown of Dawakin-Tofa, Kano, in accordance with Islamic rites.

Meanwhile, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has expressed his deep condolences to the family over the passage of young Sadiq in the Indian hospital.

In a condolence message to Director General, Media and Publicity, Kano Government House, Governor Yusuf described the lost as deeply saddened while urging his spokesperson, Dawakin-Tofa, to take solace in the strong destiny of the Almighty that is Sadiq returned to the herd. of the mercies of Allah.

The governor prayed that the gentle soul of the deceased would grant Al Jannatul Firdaus as he sought lasting strength for the parents to bear the lost.

Meanwhile, the family of Sanusi Bature Dawakin-Tofa has received condolences and words of comfort from various professional organizations and well-wishers during this sad moment.

Some of the groups include Nigerian Union of Journalists, (NUJ) Kano State Chapter, Nigerian Institutes of Public Relations (NIPR), Kano State Council; National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) Kano State Chapter and Correspondent Chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, Kano State.

The condolence message from the Correspondent Chapel, signed by Aminu Garko, Chairman, was read in parts: “As you prepare to lay your son to rest, we pray that God grants you the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. May the outpouring of love and support from family, friends and colleagues provide some comfort during this dark time.”

“As journalists, we understand the importance of family and the sacrifices made to serve the public. Your son’s death reminds us of the fragility of life and the need to cherish every moment with loved ones.”
